A significant addition in this build is the introduction of Voice Isolation for Voice Access. This feature is designed to filter out background noise and other speakers, allowing the system to focus exclusively on the user's voice. The processing for this feature occurs locally on the device, and users must complete a one-time setup process to calibrate the system to their specific voice profile.
Accessibility improvements extend to Narrator, which now features native support for braille displays utilizing the HID standard. This update enables plug-and-play functionality for compatible devices, including the Orbit Reader 20 and Freedom Scientific Focus 40, over both USB and Bluetooth. Furthermore, HID-compliant braille displays are now supported during the initial Windows setup experience, allowing for independent configuration by deaf-blind users.
The update also includes a refreshed design for the Account Control flyout accessible via the Start menu. The new interface provides a clearer view of account status and subscription details, with a focus on highlighting available benefits and upgrade options. Additionally, the emoji panel has transitioned to GIPHY as its primary GIF provider following the deprecation of the Tenor API.
Several reliability enhancements are included in this release, affecting the Start menu, taskbar, and Settings app. Specifically, the system tray is now more reliable when using a device in tablet posture, and the Start menu better retains user-selected view preferences. Improvements to display and graphics rendering have also been implemented to address issues when scrolling across multiple monitors.
Users enrolled in the Experimental (Future Platforms) channel are advised to update their systems promptly. This build includes a renewed Windows Insider flight certificate, which is required to ensure devices remain on supported builds and continue to receive future updates. The current certificate is set to expire on August 11, 2026.
