Google Pixel 11 series features new AI camera tools and hardware design changes

Google has introduced the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold, featuring significant hardware and software updates. The flagship Pixel 11 Pro XL has seen a $100 price increase over its predecessor, while the base RAM has been reduced from 16GB to 12GB. A notable hardware addition is the "Highlight" feature, a rear-facing notification light that glows in specific colors for contacts and provides visual feedback during interactions with the Gemini AI. The temperature sensor found on previous Pro models has been removed. Camera software now includes "Magic Capture," which records video while simultaneously capturing and processing still images. Additionally, the camera app features a new teleprompter tool that adjusts scrolling speed based on the user's speech. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a thinner, lighter design with a more durable hinge, though the device exhibits an asymmetrical panel thickness. The series also introduces faster 25W wireless charging across all models and updated main and telephoto sensors for improved light intake.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL has experienced a $100 price increase alongside a reduction in base RAM from 16GB to 12GB. The new Highlight feature on the back of Pro models serves as a notification light and visual indicator for Gemini AI interactions.

Magic Capture allows users to record video while the device simultaneously captures and processes high-quality still images. Google has removed the temperature sensor from the Pixel 11 Pro series that was present in previous generations.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold features a redesigned, more durable hinge and a thinner, lighter chassis compared to its predecessor. All four models in the Pixel 11 series now support faster 25W wireless charging using the Qi2.2 standard.
