Samsung Display begins mass production of tandem OLED laptop panels

Samsung Display has officially commenced the full-scale production and supply of its new tandem OLED panels designed specifically for portable computers. These displays are the first of their kind to achieve the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification, a rigorous standard that validates high-performance brightness and contrast capabilities for organic light-emitting diode technology.

The new panels are engineered to reach peak brightness levels of 1,600 nits, significantly exceeding the requirements for the True Black 1400 tier.
