Minisforum MS-02 Ultra mini PC supports low-profile discrete graphics cards

The Minisforum MS-02 Ultra, a compact 4.8-liter workstation, can be transformed into a capable gaming PC by installing a low-profile discrete GPU. The system features an internal full-size PCIe x16 5.0 slot, allowing for the addition of a low-profile dual-slot graphics card. The tested configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor with 24 cores and 24 threads, 32GB of DDR5 5600MT/s RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT low-profile GPU with 16GB of VRAM. This setup delivers strong 1440p gaming performance, as demonstrated by benchmarks in Forza Horizon 6, Crimson Desert, Doom Eternal, and Cyberpunk 2077. Despite the small form factor, the system maintains efficient thermal management, with average GPU temperatures of 61°C and average CPU temperatures of 63°C during testing. The chassis design is well-suited for this type of hardware, featuring top intake and side exhaust for effective airflow. The system also supports up to 256GB of DDR5 RAM across four SO-DIMM slots and includes a 1TB M.2 SSD.
