Apple releases iOS 27 beta 3 with new features and system refinements

Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 27, introducing several system refinements and feature updates. The update includes a new progress indicator for indexing, an updated Siri interface with a marble animation, and expanded support for Apple Car Key in upcoming vehicle models. Accessibility features have been enhanced with a new "Live Recognition" option and a redesigned accessibility shortcut menu. Additionally, the update introduces a "Show Rating Controls" option within the Photos app and allows users to combine multiple emojis into a single Genmoji. While the update addresses several bugs, including issues with physical volume keys and Wi-Fi connectivity, some users have reported persistent battery drain and overheating during charging. The release also includes firmware updates for various AirPods models and clarifies upcoming changes to Mac OS 28, which will remove support for encrypted HFS+ extended volumes. Apple has also expanded the availability of the Apple Account card to five additional countries, including Cyprus, Hungary, New Zealand, Romania, and Slovakia.
