Google has launched a limited-time open enrollment period for its Pixel Care+ device protection program, allowing owners of specific Pixel 9 and 10 series smartphones to sign up for coverage well past the typical 60-day purchase window. This initiative provides an opportunity for users who previously missed the initial deadline to secure accidental damage protection and other service benefits for their handsets.

The program covers a wide range of devices within the current and recent lineups, including the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and 9a, as well as the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10a. To participate in this special enrollment phase, owners must complete the registration process through the Google Store website or the My Pixel application no later than August 2, 2026.

Participation in the program is contingent upon the current state of the hardware. Google requires that all devices submitted for this late enrollment be in good working condition. This means the phone must be fully functional and free from any existing mechanical defects, liquid damage, or screen cracks at the time of sign-up. Devices that do not meet these physical criteria are ineligible for the extended coverage offer.

Once enrolled, subscribers gain access to several service perks, including unlimited accidental damage protection and zero-cost battery and screen repairs. The plan also offers an optional add-on for loss and theft coverage for those seeking more comprehensive protection. While the offer is broad, it specifically excludes foldable devices from this particular open enrollment opportunity, limiting the program to standard smartphone models within the specified series.
