Google has officially unveiled the Pixel 11 series, focusing on agentic AI capabilities and hardware refinements. The new devices, which include the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro XL, are powered by the latest Tensor G6 processor. According to Google, this chip offers a 20% improvement in power efficiency and 25% faster browsing speeds compared to the previous generation. While the physical design remains largely consistent with its predecessor, the phones now feature an LED light integrated around the rear flashlight, which serves as a visual indicator for notifications from favorite contacts or when Gemini is active.
The core of the Pixel 11 experience is the expanded role of Gemini, which is now designed to perform tasks in the background for U.S.-based users. This includes capabilities such as booking rides, ordering groceries, or making restaurant reservations through phone calls. Users maintain control over these interactions, with the ability to stop tasks or review transcripts of AI-operated calls at any time. A new slate of third-party apps, including OpenTable, Ticketmaster, and Zocdoc, will support these integrated workflows in the coming weeks.
Camera performance has received several AI-driven updates, including a feature called Magic Capture that selects the best frames from a video sequence to generate high-quality still images. The Pro models now feature an upgraded main sensor and a telephoto lens capable of capturing 32% more light. Additionally, the super zoom capability has been extended to 120x on Pro models and 30x on the base Pixel 11. For video creators, Google introduced a creator suite mode that functions as a teleprompter, alongside support for 8K resolution with video boost.
Accessibility and interface features have also been expanded. The camera now includes a tool that uses Gemini to translate sign language into text, and the live transcribe interface has been redesigned. Furthermore, the Circle to Search feature is now accessible directly within the camera app. The devices also introduce a new dictation product called Rambler, which is designed to compete with existing transcription services.
The Pixel 11 series is available for preorder starting today, with all models now featuring a base storage capacity of 256GB. Pricing begins at $899 for the Pixel 11, $1,099 for the 11 Pro, and $1,299 for the 11 Pro XL. The company noted that the price of the top-tier model has increased by $100 compared to the Pixel 10 XL, citing rising component costs.
